Nice Weekend

Well it was gorgeous at the weekend, as you know, days sitting in the garden, water fights and meals outside. Think that stems from being a kid you know, picnics and that, it never leaves us, but instead of sandwiches its salads n stuff.

Nothing much happened though, cept for a trip to the Bluebell for a couple of nice cold ones and a seat outside watching the blues and twos hurtle towards the town, and sometimes to Marton. Speaking of which, Marton I mean, Colin Chengs, purveyor of fine chinese food, was on top form Saturday night, and I duly stuffed my gubby after the Bluebell. If you havent been, try it, good nosh. Used to be the Kowloon in town before, but is has fallen down a bit and Colins' has my vote just now.

Again, speaking of fine form, or to be more precise lack there of, my beloved Dundee United were royally humped on Saturday by Barcelona See Here Cant complain really, we scored first, nice goal as well, but that just pissed them off, we got tanned!! Well, at least it wasnt from The Dees

Women

Well I missed the Mela, again, and the mass bikini show on Redcar beach, but not the rain though, couldnt really miss that, it pissed down for ages. Missed a lot to be honest, due to an impending house move (hence the inconsistent posts) and apparently not much is hitting home at the moment, as my significant other assure's me. The fairer sex, there's a contradiction in terms, is anything but....fair to be honest.

Any man that claims to fully understand any woman is a liar, its impossible, it cant be done. Any psychiatrist that claims it is a professional liar. There are so many of the joke emails going around the ether at the moment about the differences between the male and female of the species, we should really pick up on it, someone somewhere is talking from experience.

Why? Its a question that you should never ever ask a woman, she will not answer you. They are beautiful and wonderful and amazing, but so is a tiger, and we all know what would happen if we crossed one them big girls!

I have come to point in my life, where after years of soul searching and self torment, that i will just accept my place beside my significant other (god knows what that means either) and focus solely on the bits that get me through the day, You know what I mean, the Sunday morning lie ins ( which is exempt from any conflict whatsoever so that at least some carnal activity can be maintained) the moments when you are left alone to find inner peace ( Dundee United are on Setanta and theres Carling in the fridge) and any point at which that gorgeous sexy perfectly formed example of pure joy wants you and only you and knows exactly how to take that bad tempered huffy twat and make him do all the nice things that lets face it you want to do to her 24 hours a day anyway!! Well, if you could like, but am sure most of us lads would give a damn good go.

Anyway back home soon to the bosom of my darling in the Boro. Think I'll be nice this time, kinda miss her most of the time. If you miss me, I'll be in bed.

I hate mondays

Well its back to the grind today, but in saying that it was a busy weekend, moving house you see. I have to do all the jobs I said I would do months ago, and fix things that I didnt know needed fixing, jobs you never notice till the time comes to get your house valued. Its amazing how spectacularily your other half, who normally couldn't figure out how a screwdriver works, suddenly becomes the building inspector from hell, and expert in every field of building work, interior design and sales.

Mind you it was parmo for tea, nice one as well, as they all are! Dunno how common it is, but cant say I have ever had a bad one, even if there is such a thing. Especially like them at 1 in the morning when I am half canned and in need of some heart attack food, sometimes even kebabs just dont quite make it. Nicest parmo I've recently was in the wee pub across the river in Great Ayton (mighty fine it was too), cant remember the name, but bin there a few times now.

Back in work, students are working away desecrating each others blogs with comments and observations, need to get back to work!!!

New Blog

Well this is the second blog I have started, and both have been started for the same reason, to teach people how to blog! Funny thing is, I hadnt Blogged before so it was a totally new expeience for me too. Anyway after the last time several of the students (mature) i worked with still maintain the blogs they created so I thought it was about time my new group got involved.

This time however, I decided to make a blog that i would keep going beyond the normal course I run, hence the theme of Middlesbrough. Hopefully it will contain mostly current material, Im sure there will be a few rants and raves in general, and hopefully some laughs too.

There will also be day to day observations, just thoughts really, about anything and everything, some from far away, but mostly about the Boro.

Wednesday 2 July 2008

For almost twenty years I've wanted to come to the Boro', the reason isnt important right now, but its always been a special place for me. I'd heard so much about it, the people (one in particular), even the football team, that it was always on my mind during that time.

Over 5 years ago I finally made it, i came to the Boro'. Then, I didnt stay, just visited, but the more I came the more I liked it. And its not just the place I like, its everything that goes on here that helped me make my mind up. All this blog is about is what i see, what I like and what I dislike about life in the Tees Valley. That and a little moan now and again.
